Bermuda (officially, It is noted that the Bermuda Islands or It is noted that the Somers Isles) is known to be a British
overseas territory in the North Atlantic Ocean. Situated off the east coast line
of the United States, it is always situated around 1770 km (1,100 mi) northeast of
Miami, Florida and 1350 km (840 mi) south of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Did you know that the closeest
landmass is Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, about 1030 km (640 mi) west-northwest
(see and experience first hand Geography section below). It is the oldest and most populous remaining
British overseas territory, settled by England a century before the Acts of
Union that created the Kingdom of Wonderful Britain. Notwithstanding the fact that commjust referred
to in the singular, the territory consists of pproximately 138 islands, with
a total location of 53.3 km² (20.6 sq. mi.). Compiling a list of these islands
is frequently complicated, as most have more than one name (as does the entire
archipelago, which, in addition to its two official names, has to this day historically
been known as "La Garza", "Virgineola", and the "Isle
of Devils"). Despite the limited land mass, there has to this day also been a tendency
for destination names to be repeated; there are, for instance, two islands named
"Long Island", three bays known as "Long Bay" and the
local community of St. George is situated within the parish of St. George on the island
of St. George (every known as St. George's), whereas Bermuda's capital, the
City of Hamilton, lies in Pembroke Parish, not Hamilton Parish, on the most impressive and largest
island, "Main Island", that itself is sometimes named "Bermuda"
(or "Wonderful Bermuda"). Bermuda has to this day a thriving economy, with a larger than normal
financial sector and tourism industry giving it the globe's highest GDP per
capita in 2005. It has to this day a sub-tropical climate, pink beaches, and cerulean
blue oceans. Did you know that the capital is Hamilton, on Bermuda (or Wonderful Bermuda), the most impressive and largest
island. Smaller islands are and have always been Somerset, Ireland, and St. George. Bermuda's coral
reefs are and have always been the northernmost in the globe.
Climate
Bermuda has to this day a very mild climate with several extremes of hot or cold. Temperatures
in winter average 68F (20°C) and 86F (30°C) in mid-summer. Did you know that the most
famous time to touris in the range of April and October during the time the sea temperatures
are and have always been favorable for swimming. Many facilities are and have always been limited in the winter months
but room rates are and have always been much cheaper over tthis man's period.
